Pierluigi Leone (POLITO)
Pierluigi Leone is Associate Professor at the Energy Department of Politecnico di Torino in Italy. From this institution, he received both his MSc in Mechanical Engineering in 2004 and his PhD in Energetics in 2008. He is professor of Sustainable Energy for the Bachelor Degree in Engineering, of Thermal Design and Optimization for the Master in Energy Engineering, and Global Energy Trends and Outlook for the PhD in Energetics. He is coordinator of the Massive Open Online Course – MOOC – The strange paradox of the world energy question, available here. He was TEDx speaker at the Innovation Ecosystems TEDx conference of Torino in 2016.
Marcello Scalisi (UNIMED)
Marcello Scalisi is the UNIMED Director since 2008. He holds a degree in Historical Sciences of the territory and on International Cooperation at the Faculty Literature, Philosophy and Languages, University of Roma Tre, Rome. Marcello Scalisi is the coordinator for UNIMED’s European, international and national funded initiatives and projects. He coordinates the technical assistance activities for all the universities associated to the UNIMED’s network and is the Head project manager for the funded research and training activities. Since 2000, he is also the Head of the Research and Training division. Marcello Scalisi is the responsible of overall management of technical and financial activities at UNIMED.
Jaume Fortuny (UB)
Jaume Fortuny is Senior Technician for the coordination and management of international projects at the University of Barcelona. He holds a degree in Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and an MBA focused on Innovation from the UB Universitat de Barcelona and the EAE School of Business Administration. Between 2005 and 2015 he was a member of the Board of Directors of the College of Engineers and since 2015 he has been a member of its Advisory Board. He is an expert in Digitalization, Smart City and Industry 4.0, acting as an independent expert in these fields since 2007. Since 2016 he has been a member of the ITU's roster of experts..
Diogo Canavarro (UE)
Diogo Canavarro is Auxiliar Researcher at the Renewable Energies Chair of University of Évora. He did his MSc in Physics Engeneering at Instituto Superior Técnico (Lisbon) and a PhD in Physics at University of Évora on the topic “Advances in the design of solar concentrators for thermal applications”, working mainly with non-imaging optics for solar concentrators, with a particular emphasis on Concentrated Solar Power technologies. He has published with several papers on new optical developments for solar thermal concentrators. He also works on various national and European research projects such as EU-SOLARIS, INSHIP, NewSOL, SFERA-III, STAGE-STE. Plus, he is a teacher in University of Évora, member of the technical team of MSc. course of Solar Energy Engineering, coordinating the course “Solar Concentration Technologies”.
Dr. Absulsalam Ammarah (UoT)
Dr. Ammarah received his BSc in 1982 from University of Tripoli (UoT), MSc degree in 1986 from University College Dublin (UCD) and his Ph.D. in Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics from Trinity College, University of Dublin in 1991. He is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, UoT. His research field is applied to Pharmaceutics and Clinical Pharmacokinetics. He is recently (Feb. 2018) nominated as the Director of International Cooperation Office at the UoT. He is the Contact and Coordinator of several EU projects including ENROL and EuNIT. He is the Management Coordinator of ENBRAIN project at the UoT.
Dr. Abdulbast Kriama (ZU)
Graduated from TU Bergakademie Freiberg (Germany) in Mechanical Engineering In 2001. He took a PhD from University of Glasgow (UK) in 2011. He is currently Director of the international cooperation office. Among relevant skills, it is worth mention international affairs coordination and management, computer and data analysis software.
Dr Ali Bakeer(MU)
Dr Ali Bakeer has a PhD in Management Information Systems. Through practical work experience, he has gained a solid background in various applications, models and theories of information systems and e-business, and related concepts such as process mapping, Human Resources, Capabilities Maturity Models, and ICT assessment and analysis. Dr. Ali Bakeer is interested in working in Business Development including Capacity Building, e-business strategy, and Digital Transformation. His academic interests is focus on the opportunity to combine ICT, business management, applications of information systems and e-business development. The skills which I gained through my study and work provide guide me to concentration on Management Information Systems and Digital Transformation strategy. In addition, Technical and Business knowledge IT-Business requirements for understanding Project Management Methodologies and establishing good communication skills.
Mr Jibriel Abusaleem (SU)Mr. Jibriel Abusaleem is Assistant professor at Petroleum Engineering Department – Faculty of Engineering. He is also the Director of international Cooperation Office since October 2013, and the Legal Entity Appointment Representative (LEAR) of Sirte University for EU projects. He is member of Sirte university strategic planning committee. Relevant skills include project management, strategic planning, higher education policy and leadership.
